Hosues of Parliament, Westminster Bridge

Mixed Media Oil on Canvas. There were a few inspirations for this painting of the HoP, London, and for every painting, each artwork I create I learn something new, especially about myself, whether that's what I am trying to express or what direction the story wants to go. It's always an adventure but you must be courageous to step into the unknown... This painting is based on a photograph I took of the Houses of Parliament from the South Bank. As much as I love the photo (still one of my all time favourite shots and the actual view has changed in a few ways) I was happy to depart from the photo to go in my own direction and create my own impressionistic painting, full of brightness and colours.
