I create my art starting with multiple photos, which I blend with a variety of textures (sometimes hundreds), including paint, stains and other mixed media to create layers of memories textures and feelings. The Landing

Contradiction in Time
I never cease to be grateful that there is always something to learn, something to see anew, something to make me push myself just a little further into unfamiliar territory to create something that exists from something that didn't exist anywhere before and now does. Beginning with a background from my collection of supplies I gradually added in elements to create a somewhat surreal story and scene. The buildings on the left are my photos of Hampton Court Palace... I was very struck with the beautiful Tudor architecture and it served to provide my balance of perspective, which I then contradicted. My fascination with clocks makes and appearance here as well, though not in way's you would expect. This composition was fun to create, though as always it was challenging... in a very different way from my other creations. Availability details will follow.
